Week 5
Week 5 - 4/29/14
During this week the group divided up tasks and continued work on the various elements of the project. I continued working on the Rules and Chance cards. I began to narrow the chance cards to the ones that we wanted to keep after coming up with a variety of ideas and for the rules I add new ones as they pop up. Raphael continued to work on designs for the physical needs and chances, today he finished all work on the needs cards and moved on to other designs for the project. Morgan has continued work on the game board and assisted in writing rules and getting rid of excess chance cards that were no longer wanted or needed. Lastly David worked on finding and modeling the 3D animals to be printed.

Week 3
During week 3, we continued to work vigorously on the Project Proposal. We also discussed various ideas as to how improve the game, along with how the pieces to the game and the board would be created. It was decided that the game board design would be created using AutoCad 2014 by one of the group members. We agreed that we were going to take full advantage of the intricate 3D printer that we have access to, in order to create the player pieces and the animal figure pieces. Professor Noh went to each of the groups today to hear our proposals for the toy that we are planning to design. When he visited our group, we explained the design proposal and answered any questions that he had. Professor Noh also brought in his three children, who went to all of the groups and listened to their ideas for a toy and the toys objectives. Two members of our group pitched the idea of the board game “Pet Pal Adventure” to the kids. The kids then evaluated the toy on a sheet of paper which was given to the instructor. As far as we could tell, the kids seemed to take to the idea of Pet Pal Adventure pretty well. Posted here is the preliminary Autocad drawing of the game board.
